There are generally a number of professional tattoo machines for sale on the market. However, in order to find the right one for your needs, it may require actually understanding the different types that are available out there, as well as ensuring that you’re paying the best overall price in the long run for the device itself.
Tattoo Machines for Sale at Novelty MartThe actual tattoo machine was made by Danish designer, Oersted, in the year 1819. However, this was actually a battery-powered machine and Thomas Edison bought the patent some time later, which he eventually patented in turn as an electric pen or stencil pen. While Edison’s patented machine was originally intended to work as an engraving device, a man by the name of Samuel O’Reilly later discovered that the machine could be used to transfer inked images or writing onto the skin itself. He later designed an ink reservoir with a patented tube and needle system.
Since its original development, the tattoo machine still remains relatively the same, only bearing a few modifications throughout several different designs. These modifications primarily include electromagnets, which were developed not too long after O’Reilly’s patent for the rotary version of the machine itself.
While tattoo machines for sale may vary on there overall design or modification these days, they basically fall under the same four categories. These categories are better known as rotary, coil, liner and shader machines. While they may differ slightly from each other, however, they all typically fall under either rotary or coil-based devices in the scheme of things.
